Meet Louise Hendrickx: Photographer of the first Antonina Poppy Home Collection
3 min’ read.
Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of collaborating with many independent creators who have played an important role in the Antonina Poppy journey. Recently, we have collaborated with Belgian photographer Louise Hendrickx, who visited our space in Via del Porcellana 23r in Florence this year and took some impressive photography of Antonina Poppy Home products. Louise and her unique ability “to capture elusive beauty—that subtle magic that often goes unnoticed in everyday life” is the subject of our brief yet important article.
Handmade Ceramics in Florence, Italy
Hendrickx is known for her excellence in various creative fields, including photography, illustration, interior design and graphic design. She has captured beautiful photographs of objects in our studio; namely items like authentic Italian ceramics vases, freshwater pearl necklaces and handmade crochet bikinis from Antonina Poppy’s collection. Her work resulted in a series of unique, elegant images that capture the graceful spirit of our brand.
When asking Louise about her working process and her artistic background, she credited her success to her ability to “see the hidden poetry in fleeting moments.” In reflecting on her work with Antonina, she mentioned how naturally their collaboration unfolded, describing it as “a quiet dance between [Antonina’s] beautiful Made in Italy objects and the camera.”
When diving in Louise’s photography world, we often see abstract and still-life-focused pictures. It’s this sense of calm and wonder that makes her work feel almost otherworldly. By creating her own composition in our space, Louise Hendrickx has managed to give us images that seem to be located in a chic provincial Tuscan space, elevating our Home collection into a synchronized story about Italian interior design.
